Worship at San Damiano The Vatican II document The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy says that "the liturgy is the summit toward which the activity of the Church is directed; it is also the fount from which all her power flows." As Catholic Christians, the Eucharist is at the heart of our worship. We gather around Word and Table, experiencing God's Word in proclamation through Sacred Scripture and through Bread and Wine. Our regular Sunday Mass is at 6:00 PM each week. You are enthusiastically to worship with us and to participate fully in the service. All are welcome! Catholics will, of course, feel quite at home in our worship services, as will Christians from the other mainline, liturgical denominations. However, we strive for a worship experience which is accessible to all, whatever their particular faith background -- or even if they have none at all! While structured, the services are still informal. We're happy to help you understand and participate fully in our services. Because we recognize the essential unity of all Christians through Baptism, we welcome all to come to the altar and receive communion with us. |
